Talena Smith BA(hons) is a specialist providing vocalists with the techniques required for powerful & extreme vocals. From the genres of Pop & RnB to Rock & Metal, Talena will give you the skills needed to belt like a pop diva or growl like a metal king. Q: "I am trying to get a more viscious and harder sound out of me and failing, can you help?" A: In order to get a more raspy or harder sound you need a lot of breathe support to make sure you don’t use your throat to produce the sound. There are a few techniques to aid with getting a harder sound, but the main thing to do is make sure you’re not holding back. If you are even slightly nervous, scared or worried about the sound you are going to make then your voice won’t do what you want it to do. You must completely let go and give it everything.
